Rachel spent her career working for or in financial services. She started her career 20 years ago as a solicitor in private practice in Manchester, in banking and finance litigation. Rachel moved into in-house roles in financial services after she qualified and has been working in house, for nearly 15 years, at retail banks and private banks. Rachel has always focussed on transformation of legal / general counsel functions and organisations navigating through large scale change / transformation and also running the day to day in the UK and across Europe and Switzerland.

Rachel has been the General Counsel at Coventry for the last 3 years and has led the Legal Team, Legal Operations and Data Protection Compliance Office Team, Secretariat and Governance Team and Public Affairs and Policy Team in the General Counsel Function. Acquiring the Co-operative Bank and the integration of the Bank into the Building Society has been a large focus of her time over the last 2 years.

Rachel works across Manchester and Coventry and lives in Cheshire with her family.
