Nancy Scott has just started a new role as Senior Vice President, Legal & Deputy General Counsel, Worldwide Legal Sales & Marketing Team at Cisco. Nancy is a dual qualified attorney, originally from Canada, but who has spent most of her legal career in Europe. Nancy moved to London in the mid 1990’s, where she spent time in private practice cutting her teeth on complex global transactional work as well as EU competition and trade law matters. Nancy then moved in-house, first to European broadband company FirstMark Communications before joining global digital communications company Avaya in 2001. Nancy served in various senior leadership roles at Avaya in EMEA as well as in the US, in her last role there, serving as Vice President, Global Commercial Law, CSR and Philanthropy. Nancy joined global software leader VMware in August 2018 as the Commercial Law lead in EMEA and in November, 2021, Nancy was appointed Global lead for the Commercial Legal Group at VMware.
