Kimberly Murphy-Ward is a General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and executive leader with nearly 20 years of legal experience advising global businesses across highly regulated, operationally complex industries. She is known for combining rigorous legal judgment with a deeply commercial mindset to enable growth while protecting enterprise value.

Kim is currently at Regal Rexnord, a global industrial technology company that engineers and manufactures automation, motion control, powertrain, electromechanical, and energy-efficient solutions used across commercial and industrial markets worldwide, serving in two distinct executive roles. She serves as Vice President, General Counsel for a ~$2B+ business segment, acting as senior legal partner to business and operations leadership on growth strategy, complex global commercial transactions, supply chain and operational risk, litigation and disputes, and cross-border governance across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. In parallel, she serves as Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer for the enterprise, where she leads Regal Rexnord’s global ethics and compliance program, including investigations, governance, regulatory risk management, and the advancement of a strong speak-up and integrity-driven culture across the company’s worldwide footprint.

Her work supports mission-critical and highly regulated end markets including data centers, aerospace and defense, industrial manufacturing, HVAC, medical, food and beverage, and energy-efficient infrastructure.

Prior to Regal Rexnord, Kim served as General Counsel of Kimberly-Clark’s $3B Family Care division, supporting iconic global brands such as Kleenex® and Cottonelle®. She also played a key role in the start-up and scale of Kimberly-Clark’s Reusables business, including serving as Corporate Secretary to its majority-owned subsidiary, Thinx, Inc., where she led the integration of an acquired start-up into a global enterprise while navigating reputational, regulatory, and operational complexity.

Earlier in her career, Kim built and led the global ethics and compliance program at A. O. Smith Corporation, including nearly two years on expatriate assignment in China supporting a high-growth $1B business. She began her legal career as a commercial and antitrust litigator at Howrey LLP and Baker Botts LLP in Washington, D.C.
Kim holds a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan. She is known as a “leader first, lawyer second,” and is a frequent speaker on leadership, compliance, and operating effectively at the intersection of risk, culture, and growth.
