Speaker Bio
Errin Martin focuses her practice on internal investigations, white-collar criminal defense, and data privacy and security. As a former federal prosecutor and national security/cyber section chief, Errin brings a strong background in investigations to her work representing organizations and individuals in litigation and interactions with government agencies.

She knows the ins and outs of navigating government investigations, helping clients stay in compliance and defending their interests when facing an inquiry, investigation, or prosecution. She also is well-positioned to help clients navigate the increasing focus on violations of export laws and regulations, as well as the latest state and federal reporting and notification requirements for data breaches.

Errin has deep experience in matters related to cybersecurity, money laundering, and national security. She served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for 17 years, including seven years as section chief of the national security – cyber section in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas. In that role, she managed an eight-attorney section handling all national security matters, including terrorism, espionage, and export violations. She also oversaw cyber investigations, money laundering investigations, and asset forfeiture litigation. The insights she gained from these investigations as a prosecutor, as well as her extensive experience with government agencies, help her bring highly valuable guidance to clients dealing with a wide array of inquiries.

Before her time as an AUSA, Errin was a judicial clerk to the Honorable Paul Brown in the Eastern District of Texas and an associate attorney at a Dallas law firm. She has strong Texas roots, having grown up in a small cotton-farming community in West Texas.
