Punam is a Board-Certified Labor and Employment attorney. She currently works as Senior Legal Counsel in the Employment Law Group at Fidelity Investment. Punam sees herself as a business partner with legal subject matter expertise, providing practical business advice for a large and significant nation-wide business unit. She was previously Assistant General Counsel of Employment & Litigation at Ben E. Keith Company, a food and alcohol distributor. Prior to that, she worked as a labor and employment attorney at Haynes and Boone LLP in the Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston offices. Punam has managed the full variety of employment law issues, from counseling and policy making to litigation. She’s passionate about making the work experience better through compliance, training, and practical solutions to workplace problems.

Punam serves and leads a number of legal organizations and non-profits. She is the founder and President of The Podium, a 501c6 building community for Asian American women lawyers. Her legal work and service have garnered her several awards. She has been named the Tarrant County Young Lawyer of the Year (2021) and received the Champion of Diversity Award from the Asian Pacific Interest Section of the State Bar. Punam is a Texas native, having lived in San Antonio, Austin, Houston, Dallas, and Fort Worth. She lives in DFW with her husband, her almost-3 year old, and her cat.
