Ms. Grinnell is the Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary, leading The Container Store compliance, governance, procurement, legal affairs, environmental, and sustainability functions. She also serves as Co-Executive Sponsor of the PRIDE Employee Resource group and co-leader of the incident response team which manages data breaches, technical disruptions, and cyber threats. Ms. Grinnell has built successful ESG business models to move beyond compliance and meet the needs and demands of its customers and valued stakeholders. She is recognized as one of the Texas’ 100 Influential People to watch, D CEO Dallas 500, Top Woman in Business, Outstanding General Counsel of a large legal department, Outstanding General Counsel of a small-size legal department, Association of Corporate Counsel’s Outstanding Senior Counsel, Top Woman in Retail, and Texas Minority Counsel Program’s Corporate Counsel of the Year. She is a graduate of Hampton University and received her law degree from The University of South Carolina School of Law. Ms. Grinnell was born in Germany and was raised throughout the United States, as the eldest child of a career military officer. In her free time, Ms. Grinnell enjoys spending time with her college-age daughters, cooking and global travel.
