Jaime has been a member of the AT&T Legal Department since 1999. In his 20+ years of service, he has held numerous in-house assignments, including general litigation, network legal support, labor relations, human resources and marketing legal support. Jaime has led the Global Marketing/Corporate Communications legal team, providing legal support to Corporate Communications, PR/Media Relations, Social Media, Corporate Brand and sponsorship clients. In that role, Jaime was responsible for managing communications related to the Company’s historic acquisition of Time
Warner. Jaime was later asked to lead a team of lawyers and legal professionals responsible for AT&T’s national advertising, including digital, TV, radio and print ads for DirecTV and AT&T’s wireless, broadband and other consumer products. Currently, Jaime handles labor and employment litigation for the Company, including wage and hour class/collective actions nationally.

Jaime grew up in Houston, Texas. He graduated with honors from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Law Enforcement/Police Science before obtaining his law degree from Baylor University School of Law. He has been married to Trina Thomas Mata for 31 years and has two sons, Matthew and Micah.
