Speaker Bio
I am General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer at Last Energy in Washington, DC, leading a team covering the legal, compliance, and HR functions. Last Energy is a full-service developer of micro modular nuclear power plants with a goal of transforming the nuclear power industry by dramatically reducing the time and cost of construction. Our mission is to decarbonize global energy production and increase access to clean, affordable power.
Prior to joining Last Energy, I was Senior Counsel and Director of Litigation at IDEMIA, a French-based multinational technology company specializing in identity-related security services, including facial recognition and other biometric products, secure credentialing, and secure payment systems. At IDEMIA I was in charge of litigations, investigations, IP, data privacy, and trade compliance. I also covered contract review and negotiation as well as corporate law matters for the company.
I spent the first 7 years of my practice at two global defense firms followed by 6 years prosecuting securities class actions at Bernstein Litowitz. I then spent over 6 years managing a diverse international cross-border litigation docket, external governmental investigations and internal investigations, subpoenas, and other third-party requests at the New York branch of Credit Agricole, a global financial institution headquartered in France. After practicing in New York City for almost 20 years, I relocated to the Washington, DC area in 2023.
