Jason is the Chief People & Legal Officer at SunVest Solar, a renewable energy startup, where he leads the legal, HR, IT, and compliance functions. Prior to SunVest, Jason served as Chief Legal Officer at Renesas Electronics, a publicly traded semiconductor company headquartered in Tokyo. There, he led a global team of approximately 1,000 professionals spanning legal, procurement, supply chain, IT, and trade compliance, supporting the company’s international operations and strategic initiatives.

Before transitioning in-house, Jason was an intellectual property litigator at Morrison & Foerster in San Francisco, where he represented technology and life sciences companies in high-stakes litigation. In addition to his corporate roles, he serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Tokyo. Jason holds a law degree from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law.
