Sherri is a senior legal executive with over 25 years of experience both in-house and at a large national law firm. She partners with executive leadership to guide strategic decision-making, proactively identify and mitigate risk, and improve business execution.

Sherri is currently the Deputy General Counsel at NinjaHoldings, a Chicago-based fintech company. As Deputy General Counsel, Sherri is responsible for managing the legal team and providing strategic legal advice across the organization. Prior to NinjaHoldings, she spent 19 years at Discover Financial Services. As Deputy General Counsel - Litigation, Investigations and Legal Operations, she oversaw a team of over 20 professionals responsible for multi-disciplinary areas including company-wide litigation (including class actions, securities, antitrust, and patent disputes); investigations; e-discovery and data governance; consumer debt collections and recovery; and legal operations.

Sherri has provided legal guidance on a wide range of complex issues and has expertise in litigation and regulatory compliance matters, having successfully defended and resolved numerous high stakes matters, resulting in significant risk mitigation. Her years of experience allow her to identify and manage legal risks and provide guidance that aligns with the organization’s risk tolerance while still advancing the company’s strategic goals.
