Kate Dennis Nye is Associate General Counsel & Senior Director at Gap Inc., the parent company to The Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Athleta. In her role at Gap, Kate manages the team responsible for marketing, advertising, and intellectual property legal issues companywide and serves as the senior legal partner to the Old Navy brand on those issues. Among the kinds of matters she handles on a day-to-day basis are trademark clearance, claim substantiation, promotions and pricing, and product review, as well as managing related contracts and disputes. Prior to joining Gap Inc., Kate was a partner at Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP in Chicago, where her practice encompassed a broad range of intellectual property and marketing matters for clients across industries.
