After 33 years as a senior partner at Winston and Strawn LLP, Mark became General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of the Metals Service Center Institute (www.msci.org) on February 1, 2014. In addition, after serving as a senior lecturer at Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management for over 20 years while practicing at Winston, Mark received an appointment to serve as a Clinical Professor. Mark was recently nominated as the Clinical Faculty representative to the Northwestern University Faculty Senate, ( a three year term expiring in 2024). Mark was Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Lawrence Hall Youth Services (www.lawrencehall.org), after serving on the Board for many years, and now is an Advisory Trustee of Lawrence Hall. Mark also served on the Advisory Board of Catholic Charities of Chicago. Mark is currently involved in legal committees of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and and the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM). Having served as Chairman of the Illinois State Bar Association Antitrust Section in 2014-2015, Mark was recently re-appointed to the ABA Antitrust Section leadership as the ABA Intellectual Property Law Section Liaison (through August 2024). He has served in leadership of many Sections of the American Bar Association including the Antitrust and Business Law Sections . He was also appointed in 2022 to serve as an Observor to the Uniform Law Commission Study Committee on State Antitrust Law. He has served as Chair of the Antitrust Committee of the Illinois Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association Antitrust Committee in 2016-17, receiving a Service Award from the Chicago Bar Association in June, 2017 for his work on that committee. Mark has also served on various boards at Washington University including the National Law Alumni Council, the Chicago Regional Cabinet of the University, and the Chicago Campaign Committee. He is also a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC).
