Dan Monico is the Assistant General Counsel at Medline Industries, LP, a manufacturer and distributor of medical products with over $22 billion in annual revenue. At Medline, Dan is the principal legal support for a wide range of commercial counseling across all of Medline’s product divisions. Additionally, Dan is the principal legal support over litigation, M&A, and Medline’s Canadian subsidiary. Specific to litigation, Dan has managed mass torts arising from ethylene oxide emissions, product liability claims, advertising suits with competitors, disputes with vendors, and construction claims.



Prior to joining Medline, Dan was a litigator at Kirkland & Ellis, where he was elected partner in 2018. At Kirkland, Dan worked on behalf of GM, BP, and various other clients. His experience included a product liability MDL, disputes in bankruptcy, and criminal and quasi-criminal investigations. Dan also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Sara Ellis on the district court for the Northern District of Illinois. Dan holds a JD from the University of Chicago and a BA from Georgetown University.
