John Albright
John Albright, HUB International Limited’s Chief Legal Officer, joined the Executive Management Team in May 2014. Albright is a seasoned, business-focused executive with 20 years of legal and commercial management experience in public, private and private equity-owned company and large law firm settings. While serving as the general counsel for several multinational corporations in complex and vastly different market segments, Albright amassed a record of building and leading highly efficient legal departments that effectively supported the achievement of commercial objectives.


Patricia L. Bradley
Patricia L. Bradley is Vice President, & Senior Associate General Counsel for Adtalem Global Education, Inc., headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. She has global responsibility for Litigation, Real Estate, Transactions & Employment. Patricia has more than 20 years’ business and legal experience in multi-national Fortune 500 and 1000 corporate environments. Patricia completed her undergraduate education at Rutgers University where she graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in History. She received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law following which she served as the Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Robert A. Longhi, A.J.S.C. in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Since 1996, Patricia has held law firm, in-house and business roles in senior management, litigation and corporate law. She was the Vice President, IT Procurement for a multi-national Investment Bank and for 12 years she worked at Ingredion Incorporated, a Fortune 500 ingredient manufacturer, most recently as Counsel, U.S./Canada & Global Commercial Law Center of Excellence. Patricia is an advocate for the National Association of Minority & Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF) as well an Advisory Council Member.


Carolyn Burbrink
Carolyn Burbrink is the Senior Counsel at Uber and the manager of a dynamic team in an exciting, fast-paced safety and insurance litigation environment. She oversees claims and litigated matters throughout the central region of the US and all of Canada. Carolyn also supports Uber's international team overseeing APAC claims, litigation and business.


Dennis Garcia
Dennis Garcia is an Assistant General Counsel for Microsoft Corporation based in Chicago and provides lead legal support to the Microsoft US Partner Solutions and Marketing & Operations teams. He practices at the intersection of law, technology and business. Prior to joining Microsoft, Dennis worked as an in-house counsel for Accenture and IBM.

Dennis received his B.A. in Political Science from Binghamton University and his J.D. from Columbia Law School. He is admitted to practice in New York, Connecticut and Illinois (House Counsel). Elaine Karp
Elaine Karp is the Senior Director of Legal Operations at Baxter International, a Fortune 500 medical device company. She is responsible for global legal operations, financial management, and technology management. She manages cross-functional teams to deliver tools, programs, policies, and processes, including legal spend management, knowledge management, matter management, and contract management. Elaine sets departmental KPIs and other metrics, ensuring continuous process improvement, drives the delivery of innovative technologies, and ensures every member of the legal team has what they need to provide the highest service across the organization.

Prior to Baxter, Elaine was the Director of Legal Operations for R1 RCM, revenue cycle management service provider to the healthcare industry. At R1, she built a comprehensive legal operations infrastructure following an acquisition.

Before R1 RCM, Elaine ran legal finance and operations at The Kraft Heinz Company, where she was responsible for global budgeting (planning, negotiation, and reporting) within Kraft Heinz’s zero-based budgeting model. Elaine led legal support IT system implementations, negotiated and managed vendor agreements, realized opportunities for departmental cost reductions, and managed legal KPIs for all legal staff around the world.

Elaine has a degree in Economics from Northwestern University and is currently enrolled in the Executive MBA program at Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.


Christina Liwski
Christina Liwski is the Assistant General Counsel at Nexus Pharmaceuticals. Prior to joining Nexus, Christina worked in a variety of other legal positions, including in-house at a tech company, a large international law firm, and as a criminal litigator for several years.


Tamela Merriweather
Tamela Merriweather is Senior Vice President, Assistant General Counsel at The Northern Trust Company where she represents the Global Capital Markets business and advises on credit risk, regulatory oversight, governance, and control. Her strong reputation in the securities finance industry is reflected in her years of service to the Risk Management Association’s Securities Lending Council. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Tamela practiced in the Corporate and Securities Group at Mayer Brown LLP and clerked for the Minnesota Supreme Court.

Tamela is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL) and previously served as co-chair of its Diversity Committee. Tamela’s recent recognitions include participating in McKinsey & Company’s Black Executive Leadership Program (2021), receiving NAWL’s Virginia S. Mueller Outstanding Member Award (2019), and completing the Leading Women Executives program (2018-19).

Tamela graduated with honors from Spelman College and the University of Minnesota Law School. She is a native of San Diego and has lived in Chicago for most of her career.


Michael Rispin
Michael Rispin is a results-oriented legal advisor and people manager with over 9 years of experience advising technology companies on securities law issues, corporate governance, commercial transactions, technology transactions, financing transactions, M&A transactions, compliance, and overall legal strategy. He has served as in-house counsel for small, mid, and large public companies, including two IPOs. Michael also has a successful track record of building and optimizing legal teams and workstreams.

Michael has a financial background. He is certified in ESG and sustainable capitalism from Berkely Law and is certified as a Fraud Examiner by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Prior to becoming an attorney, Michael attended law school at night while working full-time during the day at the U.S. Securities And Exchange Commission.


Theresa Shea
Theresa Shea is the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Utz Brands, Inc., a 100 year old publicly traded snack food manufacturer which produces Utz, Zapps, Boulder Canyon and On the Border snacks, among others. Theresa oversees the complete legal function for Utz and is the first in-house lawyer for the Company. Theresa lives in Chicago and has previously worked in-house for Chicago-based United Airlines and True Value Company. Her favorite Utz product is Zapps Pretzel Stix!
