Ofilio Mayorga is a Partner in the International Litigation & Arbitration Department of Foley Hoag. For more than a decade, he has represented sovereign States, State-owned entities and private companies in numerous investment and commercial arbitrations conducted under the UNCITRAL, ICSID, ICC, and AAA/ICDR Rules, in disputes involving construction, mining, oil and gas, renewable energy, telecommunications, shipping, civil aviation and joint ventures, with a particular focus on Latin America. He has been recognized for his career in international arbitration as a Rising Star - International Arbitration by Law360, Future Leader - International Arbitration by Lexology Index, and Next Generation Partner - International Arbitration by Legal 500 Latin America. Before joining Foley Hoag, Ofilio was a Legal Associate in the Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research at Harvard University (HPCR). In this capacity, he conducted research in international humanitarian law and advised international NGOs on issues related to the protection of civilians in times of armed conflict. Ofilio is a graduate of the prestigious ICC Academy for International Arbitrators (2024). He is admitted to the bars of Washington, New York, and Nicaragua. He holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School (Tufts University) and a LL.M from the University of Michigan.
