Aleksey Shtivelman is a partner in the Miami office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he practices in the firm’s International Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group and chairs the firm’s Technology Committee. He represents domestic and international clients in high-stakes disputes involving energy, infrastructure, technology, mining, aviation, and other complex commercial matters. As Technology Committee Chair, Aleksey helps guide the firm’s evaluation and responsible adoption of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, giving him a practical perspective on various issues surrounding lawyers’ use of AI. Aleksey is Board Certified in International Litigation and Arbitration by The Florida Bar. He earned his J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where he was an editor of the Boston University Journal of Science & Technology Law and published “Solar Power Satellites: The Right to a Spot in the World’s Highest Parking Lot,” examining the intersection of emerging technology, energy, and international law.
