Salvador Escalón is Executive Vice President and Chief Legal & Compliance Officer of Millicom International Cellular S.A. (NASDAQ: TIGO), a $6B revenue telecommunications provider operating across Latin America, with corporate offices in the U.S. and Europe. As a member of Millicom's Executive Leadership Team, he oversees global legal and regulatory strategy, working closely with the CEO and Board of Directors on governance, risk management, and cross-border growth. He has led the successful resolution of two DOJ FCPA investigations — including the first corporate FCPA settlement under the Trump administration — and has guided the company through multiple high-stakes cross-border M&A transactions, litigations, investigations and sanctioned-country operations. Earlier in his career, he served as Senior Counsel at Chevron Corporation and as an associate at Skadden, Akerman and Morgan Lewis. A four-time honoree on the Legal 500 GC Powerlist (2022–2025), Salvador brings first-hand experience navigating shifting DOJ enforcement priorities, multi-jurisdictional regulatory complexity, and the sanctions and trade issues that arise at the intersection of U.S. policy and global operations.
