Nick is the General Counsel of BNP Paribas Securities Corp., encompassing the bank’s investment banking businesses. Additionally, manages several domestic and global teams of lawyers responsible for the legal coverage of BNP Paribas’s Global Markets division (incl. Equities, Equity Derivatives, Prime Services & Financing, Fixed Income, and Commodities trading businesses) in the Americas, as well as Derivatives Documentation and Regulatory Implementation teams, and is also the Global Head of Prime Services & Solutions teams within the corporate investment bank. Works closely with senior management and business counterparts to evaluate legal and compliance considerations as important inputs to commercial strategy of the divisions.

Substantive coverage includes equity finance, prime brokerage, structured products, cash equities, convert origination, flow and complex OTC equity and fixed income derivative products, electronic trading, crypto/block-chain and other digital solutions, etc. Responsible for a broad spectrum of complex legal, regulatory, contractual and other issues aimed at a broad range of institutional, hedge fund, ‘40 Act fund, corporate, non-profit, retail, and high net worth counterparties. Expertise in US banking, bankruptcy, fiduciary, ERISA, broker-dealer/stock exchange, Investment Company Act/Advisers Act, and other US securities laws and regulations, relating to equities, structured notes, prime brokerage, OTC derivatives, securities lending, repo, and other securities sales and trading products.
