Speaker Bio
Stephanie Argentine was a recovering lawyer, since relapsed, and longtime global human resources executive with experience in healthcare, consumer products, government and higher education.
She currently serves as Chief People Officer & Head of Legal Affairs for Centivo, a new type of health plan anchored around leading providers of value-based care that saves self-funded employers 15% or more compared to traditional insurance carriers. She is also the Co-Executive Sponsor, alongside Centivo’s CTO, of AI at the company, where she focuses not only on the governance of AI, but also, and perhaps more significantly, on the people, organization and change management aspects of Centivo’s AI journey. For good measure, she also serves as Centivo’s Chief Privacy Officer.
She has held past global C-suite roles at Rich Products (food manufacturing), Bureau Veritas (consumer product testing services) and Erie County Medical Center (regional trauma center with integrated health care delivery system). She has additional industry experience in government and higher education.
She splits her time between NYC and Buffalo, where she is deeply involved in the Western New York start-up community as an angel investor, as a judge for the 43North startup competition and as an ambassador for the 43N Foundation.
In addition to serving as the Executive in Residence for SOM Center for Leadership & Global Impact, Stephanie until recently taught highly rated graduate courses at University at Buffalo on both “The Future of Work” and on executive presence.
Stephanie has served on the board of Allied Mineral Products (Columbus, OH) since 2020 and earned her NACD Governance Fellowship in 2019 (since inactive).
She and her husband have (mostly) launched their four children.
