Eric Stahl serves as the Associate General Counsel for Safety and Litigation at IKEA U.S. Eric manages all product and consumer litigation in the U.S. and oversees compliance with federal and state product requirements, including CPSC, FDA, USDA, and FTC regulations. Charged with safeguarding IKEA’s commitment to consumer trust and safety, Eric works directly with designers, regulators, advocates, and industry leaders. With a network of partnerships across the global IKEA supply chain, Eric provides strategic counsel to navigate the complex U.S. legal landscape while fulfilling IKEA’s mission to provide inspired products to “the many people.” Eric is, in fact, the type of person who enjoys assembling IKEA furniture in his free time, and he always has his trusty Allen wrench close at hand.

Prior to joining IKEA, Eric was an associate at an international law firm, representing clients from the consumer products, pharmaceutical, medical device, food, and transportation industries.
