Laura Belmont is the General Counsel of Civis Analytics, a data science company delivering AI-powered SaaS solutions and predictive analytics to public and private sector clients. As a member of the company’s leadership team, she has led Legal, Compliance, Privacy, and Cybersecurity functions.

With prior roles at Comcast and Latham & Watkins, Laura brings deep expertise in regulatory strategy, cross-border data governance, and enterprise risk management. She’s led legal teams through high-stakes transformations—from scaling compliance infrastructure and contracting systems to launching nationally recognized civic engagement initiatives.

An active voice in the evolving field of AI and law, Laura is a frequent speaker and writer on the contractual, compliance, and ethical dimensions of generative AI.

Laura holds a J.D. from the Washington College of Law and an A.B. in Government from Harvard University. She was recently named one of the Top 25 Attorneys of Pennsylvania by Attorney Intel.
