The use of AI across the employment lifecycle has piqued the interest of federal regulators, state and local legislatures from New York City to California, and the White House.  This round table will examine the most recent regulatory and legislative developments impacting automated employment decision making such that practitioners as well as developers and deployers of AI tools are able to navigate the rapidly evolving patchwork of laws across jurisdictions.  The panelists will discuss best practices to reduce potential risks in addition to trends they are observing from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”) and in proposed laws focusing on automated decision tools.
