Natalie Salunke is a member of The O Shaped Lawyer steering board and has been managing legal teams in-house for over 10 years. In her current role she acts as the General Counsel of Zilch, a leading consumer finance provider. Prior to her role at Zilch, Natalie carried out similar roles for RVU, owner of the well-known price comparison brands Uswitch and Confused.com; Fleetcor, a US-listed global provider of specialised payment products; the US’s largest car rental company, Enterprise Rent-A-Car; for US-listed cloud software provider, NetSuite (now part of Oracle); and was Group Head of Legal and Company Secretary of Venda, a UK-based eCommerce SaaS provider. In these roles she has been responsible for all company legal matters including adopting an advisory role in relation to the group’s shareholders, board of directors and executive management. Natalie became Head of Legal at Venda at the age of 27. Before then, she worked in Travelex’s legal team based in London, having trained at international city law firm, Taylor Wessing.
In her spare time she is a visiting lecturer at The University of Law, a non-executive director at Middlesex County Cricket Club, and a trustee of the Young Urban Arts Foundation, a charity which exists to empower young people through the arts, and Kent Union, the charitable arm of her former university, The University of Kent. Natalie is passionate about putting the “human” into law and can often be found speaking at conferences and mentoring other members of the profession.
