Belinda is Head of Legal for Data Protection & Intellectual Property At Lloyds Banking Group. The Group operates the largest retail bank in the UK and includes leading financial and insurance brands such as Lloyds Bank, Halifax, Bank of Scotland and Scottish Widows. Her team led the legal strategy for the Group GDPR programme and advises on the fast moving area of data law and the evolving area of data ethics. Belinda has specialised in the field of data, digital and IT/IP for over twenty years. Prior to joining Lloyds Banking Group she was Global Chief Privacy Officer and Associate General Counsel for Pearson. Prior to that she had a long career in private practice which led to her being a partner in two City law firms, Field Fisher and Nabarro (now part of CMS). She has an LLM from Queen Mary University of London. Belinda is a long-standing advocate for diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.
