Song H. Volk advises clients on cutting edge technology issues and has experience working in
federal government, private practice, and in-house environments. She currently serves as Senior
Counsel, International Trade, at Supernal, a Hyundai Motor Group company.
Prior to joining Supernal, she was an Assistant General at BWXT Advanced Technologies LLC
(“BWXT AT”), a fully integrated engineering organization supporting space exploration and an
Assistant General Counsel at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, a federal research
laboratory with a national security mission.
Most of her early career centered in the Washington DC metro area where she advised clients in
the satellite telecommunications as well as defense contracting industries. She was appointed
twice to the President’s Export Council Sub-committee on Export Administration where she
served as an industry advisor on export regulatory reform.
Ms. Volk graduated with a BA from Cornell University, an MA from Ewha Womans University
in Seoul, South Korea, and a JD from Syracuse University College of Law.
