Joyce Shui has been a senior attorney for software technology companies for 20+ years. She is currently a senior director and regional manager for a compliance team at SAP. She has also been a business owner (educational services and training) and a volunteer for education and equity since she was a teenager. Joyce was elected in 2021 to the Bellevue School District board and currently serves a school district of 18,000+ students and city of 150,000 residents. She is most proud of her lifelong advocacy for equity and inclusion, which has taken the form of public speaking (on a wide range of topics including continuing legal education items, racial and gender bias, the tobacco industry, and Asian American history) as well as writing (including writing a column for an Asian American online newspaper). She is a past “40 under 40” winner as selected by the Puget Sound Business Journal and was recently selected by SAP as one of its “50 Heroes” in recognition of her public service.
