Atinuke “Tinu” Diver, Esq. is an award-winning artist, lawyer and leader whose purpose is joyful, creative disruption. She has over 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership; federal law, policy and compliance; community organizing and documentary arts. Ms. Diver began her legal career as a Presidential Management Fellow with the US Department of Veterans Affairs and Senior Attorney with the US Department of Transportation. Her compliance background includes building new compliance programs at North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ms. Diver served as Lead Organizer and Executive Director of Durham Congregations, Associations and Neighborhoods (Durham CAN) where her organizing efforts focused on developing the leadership of public housing residents. In addition to founding and leading her own documentary production company – Tinu Media LLC – Ms. Diver serves as Vice President for Resource Development and Partnerships at DHIC, the largest, nonprofit affordable housing developer in North Carolina’s Research Triangle. She holds a BA in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH), a Juris Doctor from the UNC-CH School of Law, Nonprofit Leadership Certificate from the UNC-CH School of Social Work, Documentary Studies Certificate from Duke University’s Center for Documentary Studies, and an Embodied Social Justice Certificate from the Embody Lab. Ms. Diver is an alumna of Black Organizing for Leadership and Dignity (BOLD), Leadership Raleigh, Leadership North Carolina and the Rockwood Leadership Institute.
