Laura Schiesl Vega is currently Assistant General Counsel and Director for Insight Enterprises, Inc. Fortune 500 global IT provider. Her key responsibilities include advancing a global multi-billion regional sales business unit by negotiating key transactions and assisting Fortune 500 companies to manage their IT environments so they can drive meaningful business outcomes today and manage and transform their operations for tomorrow with the support of her team and stakeholders. She also leads large-scale merger and acquisition opportunities, including strategic divestitures. Laura is regularly recognized with MVP awards by key stakeholders in the organization and was honored to be an Annual Values Award winner in 2018.

Laura serves as a founder and leader of important initiatives at Insight. From 2015 to 2018, Laura served as Board Secretary to Insight’s In It Together Foundation designed to help teammates in crisis. In 2018, Laura founded Insight’s first resource group, Women With Insight. She now acts as its Executive Sponsor and oversees 14 chapters made up of over 850 members throughout North America. Building on Women with Insight's success, six other resource groups have begun in the company totaling over 1200 members. Laura also founded the company’s mentorship program. Because of her commitment to diversity and talent development, Insight selected Laura as a member of its Diversity and Inclusion Executive Task Force. Laura focuses her efforts on recruitment, advancement, and retention and has created various programming around professional development, leadership and career strategies.

Outside of Insight, Laura is a member of the Board and Chair-Elect to the YWCA of Metropolitan Pheonix. Laura also serves as a Mentor Champion for the Arizona Foundation for Women and is on the Arizona Leadership Counsel for Take the Lead. Laura is co-authoring with her father the book, Establishing Racial Equality: The NAACP and Civil Rights Reform in California, 1940-1970, and anticipates publication in 2022.

Laura is a graduate of Loyola Law School of Los Angeles, cum laude, order of the coif, where she served on the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review and was awarded the Outstanding Student of the Year at graduation. Laura has a bachelor’s degree in Honors History and Law from the University of California. Prior to joining Insight, Laura was a federal law clerk at the United States District Court for the Central District of California and a litigation senior associate at the global law firms of Jones Day and Greenberg Traurig.
