Agatha Lin Zhang is Assistant GC for Reuters News at Thomson Reuters, where she leads the commercial legal team powering the global news business. Agatha has more than 15 years of legal experience across the U.S., Asia, and Europe, leading negotiation of complex and first-of-their-kind commercial deals at the intersection of media, technology, and law. She architected and closed some of Reuters' most significant AI licensing agreements and built global content partnerships across broadcasters, publishers, and technology platforms. Earlier, based in Singapore, she led cross-border transactions spanning SaaS, data licensing and distribution, and supported Thomson Reuters' growth across the international markets. A recipient of the 2023 Thomson Reuters "Strategic Pioneers" Award, she is Oxford-trained, dual-qualified in New York and Australia (Western Australia), and a Certified AI Governance Professional (IAPP).
