Sabria McElroy represents clients in complex commercial disputes involving antitrust, financial services, and technology. Ranked by Chambers USA for Antitrust Litigation, she has been recognized as a Lawdragon 500 Leading Litigator in America and was the only Florida-based attorney selected by Bloomberg Law in 2022 as one of the nation’s Top 40 Lawyers Under 40 in antitrust.
On the defense side, Sabria has represented Fortune 500 companies in high-stakes disputes. Recently, she successfully represented LoanCare, a subsidiary of Fidelity National Financial, in a three-week jury trial involving a mortgage servicing dispute, obtaining a directed verdict in LoanCare’s favor. She is currently part of the team defending NextEra in an action alleging anticompetitive conduct in the New England wholesale electricity market, where the team has already secured dismissal of the antitrust claims. Sabria was also part of the trial team that defended American Express in a bench trial against antitrust claims brought by the U.S. Department of Justice relating to the network’s contractual provisions with merchants.
On the plaintiffs’ side, Sabria is currently representing Panini in a high-profile antitrust lawsuit against Fanatics, alleging that Fanatics has monopolized the multi-billion-dollar professional sports trading card market through unprecedented long-term exclusive licensing deals. She is also representing online publishers in a landmark antitrust suit against Google alleging that the search engine has unlawfully stifled advertising competition and harmed publishers. Sabria was an early member of a team that brought a nationwide class action on behalf of thousands of au pairs, resulting in one of the largest wage-and-hour class settlements in recent years.
Beyond her practice, Sabria is a co-chair of the firm’s diversity and hiring committees, and her diversity-focused work was recognized with a Diversity and Inclusion award from the Daily Business Review. She also serves on the board of ChildNet, a nonprofit that oversees foster care, adoptions, and family support services for abused and neglected children in South Florida.
Sabria obtained her J.D. from Yale Law School. Before law school, Sabria taught seventh grade at a public school in Philadelphia.
