Claire Eagan most recently served as the Global Head of Legal at Vay Technology, where she advised a pioneering remote-driving company on regulatory, product, insurance, and operational risk. Her career has centered on helping technology companies build risk frameworks before the rules, precedent, or playbook exists.
Before Vay, Claire spent seven years at Uber managing high-exposure litigation and developing nationwide frameworks for addressing safety and liability risk. She worked closely with Engineering and Product teams to turn lessons from litigation and incident analysis into proactive changes designed to mitigate risk before it materialized.
At Vay, Claire built the company’s U.S. insurance program from the ground up and developed cross-functional processes spanning claims, product safety, driver training, and operational risk. Her approach combines legal judgment with practical business frameworks that allow companies to move quickly while building resilience into the organization from the start.
