Meredith Cordisco is Head of Regulatory at Empower, where she focuses on regulatory strategy across the broker-dealer, investment advisory, and insurance regulatory landscape. Before joining Empower in July 2025, Meredith was Associate General Counsel at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), providing legal guidance on regulatory policy initiatives and rule changes impacting the securities industry. Previously, Meredith was Vice President at FINRA, advising FINRA’s Office of Member Supervision regarding its regulatory oversight functions and leading Member Supervision’s strategic engagement with FINRA’s broker-dealer members. Outside of her work with Empower, Meredith is an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center, where she teaches Securities Regulation.

Earlier in her career, Meredith was counsel in the Securities Litigation and Enforcement group at WilmerHale LLP, focusing her legal practice on complex securities enforcement investigations.

Meredith received her B.S., summa cum laude, in International Business and French from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland, and her J.D., summa cum laude, and M.B.A., cum laude, from Villanova University. Following her studies, Meredith clerked for the Honorable Eduardo C. Robreno on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
