Lacey Mase serves as Chief Deputy Attorney General for the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office. As Chief Deputy, Lacey leads the Office’s law practice, which spans 23 legal divisions and over 200 legal professionals handling civil defense, civil enforcement, civil and criminal appeals, transactional matters, and advice and counsel for the State of Tennessee. She is a senior advisor to Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti and works closely with the Office’s other executive leaders to advance its mission to be the best public law office in the country.

Lacey has over 15 years of litigation and leadership experience in two state attorney general offices. Over the last decade, she has served in executive leadership roles, overseeing large-scale administrative operations and law practices for the states’ chief legal officers. She has led multiple jury trials, negotiated major contract disputes, and successfully resolved consumer protection cases of statewide and national importance, including the largest Big Tech settlement in history. Prior to attending law school, she was a first-grade teacher.

Lacey attended Baylor University School of Law and the University of Texas at Austin. She and her husband live in Franklin, TN with their two sons.
