Jarell Oshodi is the Deputy Chief Privacy Officer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where she leads compliance with federal privacy laws, regulations, and executive orders across one of the nation’s most critical public health agencies. A licensed attorney over 15 years and privacy professional holding certifications including CIPM and CIPP/US, she brings a unique perspective at the intersection of law, public health, and technology.

In addition to her government service, Jarell provides consulting to businesses on privacy, compliance, and AI governance, and she develops e-learning modules that make complex legal and privacy concepts accessible to organizations of all sizes. A two-time best-selling author and nationally recognized speaker, she is also deeply committed to empowering women in law and cybersecurity. She serves on the board of the BGIC Foundation, mentors women advancing their careers in cyber, and partners with schools and youth organizations to teach children and families about online safety.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Hampton University where she graduated magna cum laude and was honored as a 40 under 40 alumna. She also holds a Juris Doctorate from Mercer University. She is a proud New Orleans native living right outside Atlanta with her husband and 2 boys.
