Adwoa Ghartey-Tagoe Seymour is a Fortune 100 legal executive and former AmLaw 100 partner with 20 years of experience representing companies in complex disputes nationwide and across a variety of industries. She is currently Vice President of Litigation & Risk Management at Lowe’s, where she oversees a broad portfolio of litigation and risk matters and partners across legal, finance, and operations on complex, enterprise-level issues. She also leads a multidisciplinary organization spanning litigation, insurance, and workers’ compensation and is known for bringing a practical, business-focused approach to high-stakes legal and risk issues.
Previously, Adwoa served as Vice President of Litigation for Albertsons Companies, Inc. and Assistant General Counsel for Cox Enterprises, Inc., where she helped build litigation and risk management capabilities across diverse businesses. Prior to going in-house, she practiced as a business litigation and product liability partner at Bryan Cave LLP (now Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP).
She earned her BA in Diplomacy & Foreign Affairs from Miami University and her JD, cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Georgia and Florida and was a registered neutral with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution prior to going in-house, certified in the areas of mediation and arbitration.
