Shamiso Maswoswe is the Chief of the Investor Protection Bureau at the Office of the New York State Attorney General.
Since joining the New York Attorney General’s Office in 2019, Shamiso has held a series of leadership roles, including Senior Enforcement Counsel, Acting Deputy Bureau Chief, and now Chief.
Prior to joining the New York AG’s office, she served as a trial attorney in the Public Integrity Section of the U.S. Department of Justice, as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in Washington, D.C., and as managing attorney for the Moreland Commission to Investigate Public Corruption. Her private sector experience includes several years as White Collar counsel at Crowell & Moring LLP and as an associate at prominent law firms in New York.
