Speaker Bio
For nearly three decades, Croke Fairchild Duartes & Beres partner Tracey Wolfe has helped clients ranging from startups to established enterprises resolve complex employment disputes with minimal disruption to their business.
Her employment practice involves counseling clients on a wide range of employment issues, including employment agreements, handbooks, restrictive covenants, separation agreements, internal investigations, and discrimination and other wrongful termination claims. Tracey regularly conducts internal investigations involving claims of harassment, discrimination, conflicts of interest and other employment-related issues. She has also litigated numerous employment matters relating to whistleblower claims, retaliatory discharge, executive compensation plan disputes, restrictive covenants, and employment discrimination. Because employment law is always evolving, it presents a real challenge for businesses to stay in compliance; this is especially true for startups and small to midsize companies who do not have the benefit of in-house employment counsel. Tracey prides herself on her ability to direct her clients through the numerous local, state, and federal laws to ensure company compliance, while also developing employment policies to help companies avoid future employment disputes.
Tracey regularly appears in state and federal court on a variety of litigation matters. She has also represented clients in investigations and hearings before the EEOC, the Illinois Department of Human Rights, the Illinois Department of Labor, and other state and local administrative agencies, including representing clients in connection with violations of city code ordinances. Prior to joining Croke Fairchild Duarte & Beres, Tracey was a named partner at a boutique employment litigation firm for 15 years.
