Jamila Hall is Associate General Counsel, Community Trust at Airbnb, where she leads a team providing legal counsel across the company's trust and safety ecosystem — spanning Fraud and Safety Operations, Community Support, Global Crisis Management, and Trust Communications. A Chambers-ranked trial lawyer and former federal prosecutor, she spent nearly a decade as a partner in the Investigations and White Collar Defense group at Jones Day before bringing that expertise in-house.
As an Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of Georgia, Jamila tried complex multi-defendant white collar cases and prosecuted more than 100 financial fraud matters. She has since represented Fortune 500 companies as defense and investigative counsel in high-stakes investigations across the globe.
Jamila is a sought-after voice on white collar crime, corporate compliance, and ethics — serving on the faculty of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, the ABA's National White Collar Crime Institute, the Southeastern White Collar Crime Institute, and the Georgia Health Care Fraud Institute. She has served as Vice Chair (East Coast) and Atlanta Chapter Lead of the Women's White Collar Defense Association, chaired the Criminal Law Section of the Atlanta Bar Association for two terms, and served as president of the Leadership Institute of Women of Color Attorneys. Her board service includes the Woodruff Arts Center, Piedmont Park Conservancy, the Georgia Resource Center, and the Harriet Tubman Museum of New Jersey.
Jamila holds a B.A. from the University of Maryland (summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) and a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a senior editor of the Columbia Law Review. She is a recipient of the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans and the Tony Patiño Fellowship. Born in New York to Jamaican immigrant parents, she lives in Atlanta — and is a proud soccer mom to her teenage son Tré.
