Jackie Burkhardt is the general counsel, chief compliance officer and secretary for Core & Main, a leading specialized distributor with a focus on water, wastewater, storm drainage and fire protection products and related services.

As a member of the executive team, Burkhardt counsels Core & Main’s senior leadership and board of directors on legal and strategic matters, growth opportunities, and compliance and regulatory affairs. She acts as secretary to the Board of Core & Main, Inc., advising on governance and disclosure related matters. As chief compliance officer, she is responsible for the organization’s compliance program, and leads the environmental, health and safety team. Her team of legal and compliance professionals advise the business regarding acquisition activities, employee relations and safety, regulatory compliance, litigation and contractual matters.

Burkhardt joined the company as a director of legal in 2019, holding positions of increased responsibility and acting as a key contributor to the company’s initial public offering in 2021. Before joining Core & Main, Burkhardt was in private practice providing counsel to public and private companies ranging from 2-person startups to 4,000-employee public companies.

Burkhardt holds a J.D. from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri and a B.A. from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. She received the 2022 Corporate Counsel Award from the St. Louis Business Journal.
