As Chief Legal Officer for Assets Under Movement (AUM+), Aswathi Zachariah brings deep legal expertise, strategic thought partnership, and a holistic approach to organizational leadership. She is dedicated to mission-driven organizations that advance community-driven engagement and impact. Prior to joining AUM+, she served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, overseeing legal and business affairs while also leading key operational areas including government relations, human resources, and IT. Previously, Aswathi was General Counsel for the Inter-American Foundation and Associate General Counsel at the National Endowment for the Arts. She began her legal career practicing real estate and corporate law at Arent Fox Schiff. Prior to becoming an attorney, Aswathi practiced as a CPA within PwC’s audit practice. Aswathi earned her law degree from the University of Denver and her undergraduate business degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. In service to the community, Aswathi’s volunteer work centers around local education and she currently serves on the Board of Governors for Washington Latin Public Charter School.
