Vanessa Tussey is Senior Counsel in Litigation at Capital One. She

enforcement, class actions, consumer litigation, employment
disputes, bankruptcy, government investigations, and high-stakes
commercial litigation—all against the backdrop of the evolving

Before joining Capital One, Vanessa practiced complex commercial
litigation at Boies Schiller Flexner, clerked for Judge William P.
Dimitrouleas (S.D. Fla.), and—early in her career—taught first and
fourth grade. She co-founded Read USA, a nonprofit that has
delivered one-on-one literacy tutoring to 5,700+ children, employed
500+ teachers, and distributed more than one million books to 370,000+
disadvantaged students.
Vanessa lives in Richmond, Virginia with her husband, two young
boys, and their senior dog.
