Speaker Bio
Katie is a seasoned practitioner with two decades of experience championing robust antitrust enforcement and consumer rights through strategic class action litigation and policy advocacy. She writes and speaks about the importance of competition and how concentrated economic power leads to increased prices for consumers, depressed wages for the workforce, and the shuttering of small businesses. Her work across public, private, and non-profit sectors has led to significant recoveries for victims and positive changes to our legal systems.
Katie is the founder of KVD Strategies PLLC, a senior fellow at UC Berkeley Law’s Civil Justice Research Initiative, and a senior research fellow with the American Economic Liberties Project. During the Biden Administration, she served as an Attorney-Advisor in the Federal Trade Commission’s Office of Policy Planning, where she grew and ran the agency’s amicus program.
