Susan M. Floyd is the Vice President of Enterprise Environmental for Entergy Services, LLC and is located at the Lake Front North offices in the Woodlands, TX. The Enterprise Environmental team supports and provides environmental services for the company at all levels, including operations in Nuclear, Power Generation and Power Delivery, projects and future development in Power Development, Capital Projects and System Planning Operations, and consistent environmental compliance at every level of the enterprise.
Prior to serving in the VP role, Floyd served as Assistant General Counsel - Environmental in the Legal Department. As in-house counsel, Floyd supported Entergy in meeting regulatory requirements under state and federal law, in the areas of permitting and the resolution or avoidance of environmental compliance issues. Her experience includes the defense of civil and criminal enforcement actions as well as the facilitation and implementation of project management following negotiations with applicable state and federal agencies. Before Floyd joined Entergy in 2017, she was in private practice at the Brunini Law Firm located in Jackson, MS, and Jones Walker with headquarters in New Orleans. Floyd received her Juris Doctorate degree from Mississippi College School of Law, completed her undergraduate degree at Sewanee: The University of the South, and her Master of Education in Gifted Studies at Mississippi University for Women. She is the current Chair of the American Bar Association’s Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources.
