Maria Liu is Senior Counsel, Litigation Counsel at Uber Technologies, Inc. She oversees complex, high-stakes litigation matters in the fields of antitrust, consumer protection, breach of contract and business tort, and intellectual property. She works with outside legal counsel and business constituents to develop and implement thoughtful litigation strategies, solve tough problems, reduce future legal exposure, and achieve beneficial outcomes. Prior to joining Uber, Maria was a litigation associate at Jenner & Block LLP and Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP. At Jenner and Willkie, Maria gained significant experience in every phase of litigation--from discovery, briefing of dispositive motions, trial, and appeal, and held leadership positions on the firms’ diversity committees. Maria is a proud Double Wolverine, having received her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy and Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Michigan.
