Rebecca Unruh is Deputy Director in the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection (BCP), where she is primarily responsible for the agency’s Division of Financial Practices, Division of Advertising Practices, and for working with the FTC’s eight regional offices across the country. She has worked in the BCP Director’s office for more than eight years, previously as Assistant Director for
Regional Operations and as Counsel to the Director. Rebecca joined the FTC in 2011 as a staff attorney in the BCP’s Division of Financial Practices, where she led investigations and enforcement actions, and later served as Acting Chief of Staff. Prior to joining the FTC, she was a civil litigator at Hogan Lovells. Rebecca received her JD from New York University School of Law in 2003 and her undergraduate degree from Duke University in 1996.
