Christina Bixby serves as the Assistant General Counsel for Cybersecurity Legal at Workday. Her portfolio includes all aspects of managing the global cybersecurity legal program including data protection, incident response, risk mitigation, and compliance with global cybersecurity and data protection laws and regulations. She supports the development and implementation of cybersecurity programs, training, and exercises, including cybersecurity awareness programs, bug bounty programs, penetration testing, phishing simulations, tabletops, and red-team exercises. She serves as the dedicated legal counsel for Workday’s Chief Information Security Officer and the Cybersecurity and Trust team. She also collaborates with Corporate Affairs in formulating and advocating for Workday’s policy positions on cybersecurity matters.
Prior to Workday, Christina served as Director and Senior Corporate Counsel at Salesforce working on U.S. public sector cybersecurity and product legal issues for Salesforce’s government and national security products. Prior to Salesforce, Christina was an attorney in the executive and legislative branches of the U.S. federal government for 14 years, including as a Trial Attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice and as the Assistant General Counsel for the Science and Technology team at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO). Christina’s federal government legal experience covered a wide variety of topics including complex tax litigation, criminal fraud prosecutions, False Claims Act investigations, and cybersecurity and IT audits.
She holds a Juris Doctorate from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law and a Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University. She resides in northern Virginia with her spouse and two children.
