LaTi Spence is currently Managing Counsel of ESG at TD Bank with a cross-border mandate supporting Sustainability teams in Canada and the US. In this role she advises on environmental principles and standards. She also regularly advises on ESG laws, including but not limited to state fair access laws, federal regulations, and environmental disclosure rule. Prior to her roles within ESG Legal, LaTi was Counsel supporting TD's retail business. In this role, she was responsible for advising TD stores on legal matters related to deposits, discrimination claims, business disputes, and fraud. LaTi also supported product development to ensure that the products comply with federal regulations. She also supported TD's marketing and levy business.
Prior to joining TD Bank in 2018 she was a litigator at multiple firms where she represented businesses in civil proceedings in federal and state court. At her most recent firm, she represented Universities and Financial Institutions in employment discrimination matters in federal court.
