Laura Heltebran is well-known in the legal community for her expertise in the technology, hospitality and aviation industries. She has served as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary for Wheels Up (NYSE:UP) since December 2020. During her tenure, she has guided the company through a 2021 IPO that included the creation of a new public company board and corporate governance roadmap, extensive M&A including the acquisition of Air Partner, a UK public company, and preparing the company for Chapter 11 in 2023 which was averted when the team closed a company-saving $450M investment in September 2023. As Chief Legal Officer, Ms. Heltebran oversees all legal affairs, corporate governance, M&A, privacy, IP, compliance and risk matters. Previously, she served as Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Hilton Worldwide where she was responsible for worldwide legal operations, litigation, compliance, employment, benefits and technology support. Ms. Heltebran also brings 25 years of experience as a legal executive for Fortune 500 technology companies, including serving as Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Head of Americas Legal for CSC (now DXC Technologies), and Senior Vice President of Legal for Affiliated Computer Services (now Conduent). Ms. Heltebran holds a B.A. from George Mason University and a J.D. from the Antonin Scalia Law School, George Mason University. She enjoys time with her two children, both May 2024 college graduates from James Madison University and University of Georgia respectively. She is also working on her pilot’s license and enjoys volunteering for animal rescue flight missions with Amelia Air.
