Meghan Riley is Managing Associate General Counsel for Verizon. As part of the Global Network and Technology Legal Group, Meghan advises the engineers deploying and operating Verizon's best-in-class network on a broad range of legal issues, negotiates network infrastructure agreements, oversees regulatory compliance, and works on various legislative and policy initiatives. Meghan serves as a committee member on Verizon’s Legal, & Security Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council, develops professional advancement and leadership programming, and is a vocal advocate for workplace policies and cultures that advance women and caregivers.



Meghan previously worked as an associate attorney in Quarles & Brady LLP’s Labor & Employment Group. She began her legal career litigating insurance matters at Cremer, Kopon, Shaughnessy & Spina, LLC, in Chicago. Meghan has also served as an adjunct professor for The John Marshall Law School’s Local Government Clinic, where she taught civil litigation skills and legal ethics.



Meghan received her law degree, magna cum laude, from University of Illinois Chicago Law School, where she was an editor of The UIC Law Review. She studied dance and English literature at the University of Iowa.



Meghan resides in Chicago’s western suburbs with her husband and four children. Meghan lives for laughing with her family, horseback riding with her daughter, and teaching yoga.
