With over 20 years of experience, Tami Horton has a rich background as a legal and business partner and advisor focused on healthcare compliance, regulatory law, and ethics. Tami most recently served as the Chief Compliance Counsel and Privacy Officer at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA), where she led the national compliance team. Prior to joining CTCA, Tami served as General Counsel and Chief Privacy and Compliance Officer for Illinois Bone & Joint Institute (IBJI), one of the largest independent physician practices in the country, where she was responsible for establishing the legal and compliance departments. In that role, Tami led IBJI’s legal team in its successful participation as an early awardee in the CMS Bundled payment for Care Improvement Initiative Program. Previously, she was an associate at Mayer Brown in Chicago. Tami is certified in Healthcare Compliance by the Health Care Compliance Association and is a frequent speaker about compliance related topics and value-based payment models. Tami earned a J.D. with Honors from The University of Chicago and a Bachelor’s Magna Cum Laude and with Honors from the University of Michigan. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
